Dec 21, 2020
The BioTUNE project held the Special Workshop "Fine Tune of Cellular Behavior: From Fundamental Research to the Clinics" during the World Biomaterials Congress (WBC2020).
On December 15th, during the Online edition of the World Biomaterials Congress (WBC2020), BioTUNE's researchers held the Special Workshop "Fine Tune of Cellular Behavior: From Fundamental Research to the Clinics".
Carles Mas-Moruno (BBT-UPC, Spain) and Matthew Dalby (Univ. of Glasgow, UK) acted as Chairs of the Workshop, which consisted in the talks of:
- Elisabetta Ada Cavalcanti-Adam (Max Planck Gesellschaft, Germany) "Nanoscale regulation of adhesion and growth factor signaling by material mechanical and chemical properties"
- Manuel Salmerón-Sánchez (Univ. of Glasgow, UK) "Engineered microenvironments for stem cell engineering"
3) Andrés García (Parker H. Petit Institut for Bioengineering and Bioscience, USA) "Biomaterials to Eliminate Bacterial Infections"
4) Andrew Hart (Canniesburn Plastic Surgery, UK) "Improve Patients' Lives Using Biomaterials and Tissue Engineered Solutions for Complex Limb Reconstruction – a Surgeons View of the History and Current Opportunities"
