Materials Science and Engineering Conference

Hybrid Conference: Darmstadt, Germany / Online. 27-29th Sept, 2022.

Topic: Biomaterials

Symposium: B01: Biomimetic and Osteoinductive Materials for Bone Regeneration

Symposium Organizers: Dr. Carles Mas-Moruno (UPC, Spain) and Dr. Cristina González García (UGla, UK)

The aim of this symposium is thus to bring together researchers from leading groups around the world working in the development of biomaterials to promote bone tissue regeneration from different perspectives. Particular emphasis will be put on biomimetic strategies aiming at mimicking the healing microenvironment required to repair bone. In this regard, the nanoscale control of GF presentation and delivery, understanding the mechanisms of integrin-GF crosstalk, and the development of GF-free scaffolds, among others, represent timely strategies in the field that we wish to discuss.
