Dian Juliadmi is on a 3-month secondment at the Centre for the Cellular Microenvironment in Glasgow

Dr. Dian Juliadmi (UGM, Indonesia) has recently arrived to Glasgow (UK) for a 3-month seconment at the Centre for the Cellular Microenvironment (CeMi, University of Glasgow), under the supervision of Prof. Matt Dalby.

During her stay, Dian will be working on the biofunctionalization of 3D scaffolds using polymers and growth factors. Plasma polymerization technology will be used for coating thin layers of poly(ethyl acrylate) (PEA). She will characterize the coating and investigate the mechanism by which PEA drives mesenchymal stem cell involvement in bone regeneration.

The secondment represents an unique opportunity for Dr. Juliadmi to learn from Prof.Matthew Dalby and his research group. In her own words," secondment in this project is a great chance to enhance my research skills, foster collaborations, and gain insights from the leading experts in biomaterial field". 

The secondment takes place from September 1st to November 30th, 2024.
