PhD student Ioanna Rigou arrives to Buenos Aires for a 3-months secondment

ESR Ioanna Rigou, a Phd student at the Centre for the Cellular Microenvironment, CeMi (UGLA, UK), under the supervision of Prof. Matt Dalby, is in Instituto de Nanosistemas (INS-UNSAM, Argentina) for a 3-months secondment at Dr. Diego Pallarola's laboratories.

During her secondment, she will focus on assessing the three-dimensional cell impedance in a scaffold-based environment, specifically examining a micromass of undifferentiated hMSCs placed on an electrode. She plans to investigate their proliferation and differentiation at various time points, with the aim of gaining a deeper understanding of their behaviour under these conditions.

Ioanna's secondment goes from Sept. 24th to Dec. 17th, 2024, both include. These dates will allow her to attend the Final Meeting of the project, held in Buenos Aires by the end of November.
