ESRs Ana Laura Tohmé and Betania García (UNSAM, Argenina) presented their research within BioTUNE at Biosensor 2024 - 13er Congreso Iberoamericano de Sensores (13th Ibero-American Congress on Sensors), held in Buenos Aires from the 21st to the 24th of October, 2024.
Betania García, a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Diego Pallarola at INS-UNSAM (Argenina) spent 12 months at the University of Bristol, in a split secondment, at Prof. Bo Su's laboratories. You can read more about her secondments by clicking here and here.
At Ibersensor 2024, she presented her poster: Betania García, Bo Su, Diego Pallarola. Enhancing bacterial detection with bactericidal nanostructured titania electrodes.
Ana L. Tohmé is also a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Diego Pallarola at INS-UNSAM (Argenina). She split her time and seconments at the University of Glasgow (read more here and here), where she spent 6 months working with Dr. Salmerón-Sánchez and Dr. Dalby, and more recently at Max-Planck-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Wissenschaften, where she spent 3 months with Dr. Ada Cavalcanti-Adam (know more about the secondment by clicking here).
At Ibersensor 2024, she presented her poster: Ana Laura Tohmé, Nicolás Andrés Saffioti, Diego Andrés Pallarola. Development of microfluidic biosensors for studying epithelial cells processes by impedance spectroscopy
